Assistant Accounts Payable Manager

We are now looking for a wonderful accounts guru to work within the team ensuring the accurate checking and processing of supplier invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting invoices to Microsoft Dynamics NAV system
  • Seeking authorisation for invoices when required
  • Verifying suppliers' invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Reconciling invoices to suppliers' statements
  • Prepare suppliers payments and checking remittances
  • Processing payments in the bank and sending remittances as required
  • Dealing with queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with invoice/remittance review & checking for own suppliers and the wider team, to ensure invoices posted correctly within in the required timelines
  • Assisting with reconciling aged creditors report and ensuring all suppliers are up to date
  • Providing support to Accounts Payable Manger to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Any other adhoc duties required by the Financial Controller/Accounts Payable Manager


  • 3-4 years working in Accounts Payable
  • Accurate and meticulous input of data to finance system
  • Experience posting and reconciling ledger accounts
  • Experience working with non-finance users to solve problems
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good communicator, both written and orally
  • Self-motivated and good team worker skills
  • Proven experience of working in a professional team adhering to deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach to work, with the ability to multi-task, use own initiative and a desire to problem solve
  • Reliable and highly organised with the ability to prioritise
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement


  • AAT/ACCA/CIMA studier
  • NAV experience
