Brand & Proposition Manager

At Loaf we make insanely comfy sofas, beds and other laid-back wares that help people lead happier, more relaxed lives. And we're looking for one very clever Brand & Proposition Manager to join us on our journey to the next level.

Your job is to ensure that every campaign and product has a compelling proposition that resonates with our customers and reinforces our brand values. You'll oversee the marketing critical path for marketing campaigns as well as launching new collections, ensuring everyone involved clearly understands the proposition of each product and how to market it. And you'll ensure every marketing campaign and product launch is on-brand and flawlessly executed across all marketing and sales channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help continuously evolve the proposition for our brand, products and services ensuring they are uniquely Loaf and compelling to our customers

  • Gather and present customer insights and market intelligent to help identify gaps and opportunities for new product development and brand strategy

  • Work with CCO to write product design briefs for upcoming new collections, ensuring they're not only commercially orientated but they're on-brand, right for our customers and are geared towards propelling our proposition forward

  • Own the marketing critical path for launching new marketing campaigns and product collections, ensuring all deliverables meet the brief and that they launch flawlessly across all marketing and sales channels

  • Working closely with the Marketing, PR and sales teams, collate requirements and write the creative brief for upcoming marketing campaigns

  • Brief the Photoshoot teams on photo requirements for upcoming collection launches and marketing campaigns

  • Work with the E-commerce, Shack and Customer Experience teams to identify and agree web development, systems, process and visual merchandising requirements for new products and services as well as identifying opportunity to improve our brand storytelling across these channels

  • Oversee any brand tracking initiatives and report back to the business on findings

  • Provide final sign-off on all marketing comms ensuring they're bang-on brand, brilliantly communicate the proposition and are free of typos and grammatical errors

  • Support our Training teams in creating (and sometimes delivering) brand induction presentations as well as launch packs for new products ensure every customer-facing Loafer clearly understands what makes each product special and how to sell it

SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES & EXPERIENCE

  • You absolutely have to have or be the following:

  • An A-player brand/proposition marketer with at least 5 years' experience

  • A top-notch understanding of the principles of brilliant branding and how to market stuff (with a healthy dose of brand obsession to go with it!)

  • An ability to write brilliant briefs that probe, challenge and inspire our super Product Design and Creative teams to deliver great products and marketing creative

  • A super organised and meticulous planner

  • A critical mind who can recognize great creative and articulate what would make average creative amazing

  • A complete mastery of the English language - and a real fusspot when it comes to spelling and grammar!

  • A real stickler for detail, understanding that the sum of every detail makes a huge difference

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to connect and influence people across all areas of the business (so you need to be able to laugh at yourself!)

  • Always on the look-out to improve how things are done, challenging the status quo and never accepting second best

  • Self-critical and confident enough to try out new ideas and cast most of them aside in order to find a gem

  • Happy working under pressure in a fast-paced environment (we know, everyone says that!), bringing a positive vibe to work every day no matter what curveballs are thrown

  • And, most importantly of all, you absolutely must be an all-round good egg, with a real can-do willingness to get on with the job and make great things happen.
