What the heck is 'Fair Delivery'?

We could have offered FREE DELIVERY and hidden the cost by hiking our prices, but we felt that would be cheeky. So we just charge one price for the largest item in your order. No funny business!

How much do we charge for Fair Delivery?

Small things cost £6 to deliver

(includes lamps, side tables, bed linen and other small squishy things)

Medium things cost £16 to deliver

(includes coffee tables, footstools, mirrors and other mid-sized designs)

Large things cost £39 to deliver

(includes sofas, beds, mattresses, kitchen tables and other large handmade pieces).

Ordered multiple items?

All your lovely Loaf wares will be shipped together once everything is ready to go. So what happens if, for example, you order a bedside table and a lamp and your bedside table is in stock but your lamp isn't quite ready yet? Well, in this scenario they'll both be sent once the lamp arrives in our warehouse.

Can't wait? Not to worry. Give us a call on 0203 141 8300 and we will split your shipments for a small charge.

When do we deliver?

Small things

Small things are delivered to your doorstep by DPD and will arrive within 2-4 working days. DPD delivers Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 7.00pm. They will despatch your item as soon as it's available and send you a text on the day of delivery with an estimated 1 hour delivery window. This text offers you loads of options, so you can also choose to:

  • Change the delivery day
  • Upgrade to a Saturday delivery (for an additional charge)

To protect against COVID-19, DPD provide a safe, non-contact delivery service to your doorstep.

Medium things

Medium things are delivered to your doorstep by Parcelforce and will arrive in 3-5 working days (but we won't despatch until you have selected your delivery date). Our courier delivers Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 7.00pm. We'll get in touch by email to ask you to select a delivery day. And our courier will keep you in the loop on the big day by texting you up to 90 minutes before they arrive.

Small and Medium things may require self-assembly

But don't worry, you don't need to be a DIY whizz. Please hang onto the packaging until you're sure your item is a keeper.

Large things

We usually deliver within 12 working days of the items arriving in our warehouse and our delivery partner will drop you an email in advance of this so you can book in a date that works for you. We deliver large items Monday to Saturday between 7.00am and 7.00pm. If the items you ordered are not in stock or the item is 'made to order' we'll provide a delivery estimate when you place your order.

Do the nationwide COVID-19 related restrictions affect the delivery of my items?

Due to the easing of lockdown restrictions, our assembly service of large things is back up and running. However, this does mean we are seeing a very high demand, so deliveries by Wincanton are being made up to 21 days after items are made available in our warehouse.

They won't unpack any small or medium things they've delivered and they'll ask you to hang onto the packaging from these goodies (in case you decide to send stuff back)!

Health and safety is our top priority. To protect against COVID-19, our delivery crew adhere to the very strict social distancing guidelines released by the British Retail Consortium while in your home. To ensure safety of our customers and delivery chaps all crews will be provided with hand sanitiser, sanitising wipes and PPE. The transport crews will be planned in a consistent partnership and vehicle while social distancing is in place. If requested to do so the crews will wash their hands on entry and exit of the customers home.

DPD and Parcelforce (who deliver small and medium things for us) continue to offer safe, non-contact delivery to your doorstep, as normal.

Do you deliver outside of mainland UK?

We don't deliver outside of the UK mainland, so places like Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands are beyond the reach of our own delivery chaps. But good news!
