Shouldn’t I try out some beds or sofas in a shop before buying?
No, we’ve done all the testing for you. We exist so that you no longer have to waste hours in the shops.
How come you’re cheaper than the high street?
Because we don’t have expensive shops to run. You pay for our products, not the gloss.
Are you good value?
Yes. For a fraction of the cost you’ll get a bed, sofa or mattress that would normally be £1500 to £4000 on the high street. And you won’t have lost time trawling the shops and then waiting 12 weeks for it to arrive.
Is delivery for beds, sofas and mattresses free?
Yes, if you live in or around London. Otherwise we ask for a small contribution. Please check your postcode below for pricing.
What about delivering smaller items on their own?
If you're only after smaller items like sheets or bedside tables we send these out around the UK via Parcel Force. We don't charge you anything for this. It's free!
Do you do more than just deliver?
Yes, we’ll install your bed, sofa or any large item and take away the wrapping for free. And for a small fee we’ll even take away your old bed/sofa for recycling. Just let us know when you order.
What happens if I don’t like my bed, sofa or mattress?
Just let us know within fourteen days of receiving it and we’ll collect it and give you all your money back (including any delivery and collection costs). We do ask though that you hand it back in pristine condition and with the protective mattress cover unopened. For smaller items like bedside tables, just send these back to us wrapped as securely as possible via a recorded mail service which can handle larger items.
How soon can you deliver?
For items that are in stock it's usually just a few days. For other items that are made to order we deliver within 10 days of it arriving on our warehouse (often less).
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Our delivery chaps do deliver on some Saturdays in and around London only. If you're interested in this please mention to them when they book your delivery date with you.
How can I pay?
We accept all major debit and credit cards except American Express.
Are my bank details safe with you?
Yes, very. Our system is run by Sage Pay and Thawte and is extremely secure.
Can I order if I live abroad?
Yes, it's very easy. Just give us a call on 0044 (0) 208 968 8843 or send us an email and we'll put you in contact with a good transport company. Once you order we will then take your items to them so they can deliver to you.
Why do you only offer one mattress?
Because we’ve found that the vast majority of people find the same things comfortable and that a handmade mattress full of natural materials and individual pocket springs is the way to go. We do appreciate however that some people like a different firmness so we offer three tensions.
Does your mattress need to be flipped over every few months?
No, that’s a hassle. So we’ve designed one that doesn’t need to be flipped over. But you still need to give it a bit of TLC. Read more about this here.
I’ve heard memory foam mattresses are the most comfortable. Why is your mattress better?
Memory foam/latex/whatever you want to call it is churned out cheaply in the Far East and boasts spurious technology. Yes, it’s comfortable, but it’s also very hot as there is nothing natural or breathable about it. Believe us, we slept on one for six months just to see for ourselves! Like with most things, we think natural and handmade are best.
Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have a nice big office/showroom at the foot of Notting Hill in London where we have all of our wares on display, which you’re more than welcome to jump around on.
Is it true that lots of companies sell weird bed sizes so that you have to buy their mattresses and linen too?
Yes, which we think is really annoying. We only sell standard UK sizes so you can mix and match things over time.
