Can you guess what cloud this is?

We ran a bit of a competition in our newsletter this week:

Richard Branson and those guys in the Dragons' Den are household names. But for me the really inspiring entrepreneurs are often the more quirky ones like Gavin Pretor-Pinney.

Gavin was one of the founders of the brilliant Idler magazine - essential reading for any true Loafer. And he was the person who brought Absinthe into the UK and in so doing brought about one heck of a debate in the Houses of Parliament.

He then became fascinated by clouds and launched The Cloud Appreciation Society as well as writing several books including The Cloudspotter's Guide which has sold over 300,000 copies - highly recommended reading material again.

We gave away five signed copies of his book to the first ones to correctly guess what kind of cloud is in the photo above out of the three answers below:

a) Mammatus

b) Cumulus

c) Cirrus
