Our "home" is a 6,000 square foot office-cum-showroom near Portobello at the foot of Notting Hill. Most people know about all the cool market stalls, shops and restaurants in the area as well as the massive Westfield shopping mall (aka "Westlife").
And with over a million people coming this weekend to "shake their thang and blow dem doors off", it's the Notting Hill Carnival that gets all the attention (it'll be business for usual for us by the way, except for Bank Holiday Monday when our showroom will be closed).
So if you are thinking of coming to see some of our lovely wares you may like to combine it with a trip to one of our favourite haunts below:
Kensington Memorial Park has a quite brilliant FREE water park. A bit like Paris' Parc Citroen but with chavs instead of poodles.
Our office love El Camion at the northern end of Portobello. Not just for the frozen margaritas (yeah, right!), but for the seriously yummy street food.
Dock Kitchen is chef Stevie Parle's pop-up restaurant on the Grand Union Canal that never popped back down. Think River Café food at lower prices.
If Portobello had a village hall The Tabernacle would be it. Home to interesting talks, funky musicians and loads more.
Love,
Charlie & The Loafers
