From humble beginnings...

Our new beached timber range is proving to be the Lemon Drizzle of all finishes: everybody wants a piece!

These beauties start life as a pile of reclaimed fir (pictured above) that's salvaged from old buildings. It gives us a lovely, lived-in wood that's full of character.

Having spent the last 100 years or so collecting moisture, the wood is first dried at 60°C for several days. Then it's shaped, sealed, sanded, rubbed with grey paint, scoured and sand-blasted to achieve a beautiful 'beached' effect.

So there you have it. Hundreds of years, hours of love and one pretty cracking finish. Enjoy!
