Something you might not know...

Orange you glad it's Christmas?
Stop press! Did you know that carrots weren't always orange? We
were taking our kids around a primitive man settlement the other
day (I know, I've no idea what we were thinking - they hated it!)
when we were shown the purple carrots they used to grow.
It turns out the modern day orange carrot wasn't cultivated until
Dutch growers in the late 16th century took mutant strains of the
purple carrot and gradually developed them into the orange variety
we know today. But before this: purple.
So, there you go. We've been living a lie. A bright orange
delicious lie.
Merry Christmas!
Love,

PS Congratulations to Ben who won our Copas Turkey competition! We hope you enjoy your scrummy Christmas turkey!
