What would you take to the South Pole?

We have some pretty cool customers at Loaf, but not all of them can say they lead polar expeditions like Ben Saunders (pictured).

Ben's just set off on an 1800-mile expedition to the South Pole in an attempt to complete Captain Scott's ill-fated 1911/12 expedition.

He and teammate Tarka L'Herpiniere will be doing the equivalent of 69 back-to-back marathons in temperatures as low as -50°C, hauling sledges of up to 200kg each. Oh, and the route's never been done since the original attempt. Serious hard nuts!

Ben told us he's looking forward to coming home to his Loaf bed (of course). Which got me wondering what he's actually taking with him. So in the spirit of Desert Island Discs, but the cold version, what would be the one luxury you'd take on an expedition to the South Pole?

Pop your answers to [email protected], post them on our Facebook page or tweet us using #SouthPole by 4th November and we'll announce the winner here the next day.

The most imaginative answer will win one of our snuggly Brilliant Blankets.
