Tempered glass
All our glass table tops are tempered. Tempered glass is heat-treated to make it much stronger and safer than standard glass. If it ever does break, it's designed to crumble into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards. Although it's tougher, tempered glass can still scratch or mark, so gentle day-to-day care is important to keep it looking tip-top.
How should I clean my tempered glass table top?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth with warm soapy water or a mild glass cleaner. Wipe dry with a microfibre cloth to avoid streaks. Avoid abrasive pads or strong chemical cleaners as they can scratch or dull the surface.
Can I use vinegar or other acidic cleaners on glass?
We don't recommend it. Acidic cleaners can damage coatings, affect clarity over time, or leave stubborn streaks. Stick to pH-neutral cleaners for the best results.
Why does my glass still look streaky after cleaning?
Streaks often come from residue left on the cloth. Use a clean, dry microfibre cloth to buff the glass after cleaning, and avoid using too much product.
